Dear Neighbors;

Thank you for the privilege of serving you as your Mayor on the Arden Hills City Council for the past 16 years.  This year I am running for reelection to continue to put my experience and service to work for you.  I look forward to four more years of listening to your needs, open communication, and working for you as your Mayor.  I ask for your vote on November 3rd.

Sixteen years ago I made the decision to run for mayor in order to lead and give back to our city and maintain the qualities that make our city such a great place.  Key in this effort is listening to your concerns; whether one on one, in groups, or at council meetings.  Our city is made up of many small unique neighborhoods.  I know that you know your neighborhood best and we work more effectively when we work together to secure our future, our children’s future and grandchildren’s future.

My Priorities for Arden Hills:

  • Keeps city taxes low while enhancing and maintaining services through careful spending & sound fiscal policy.
  • Support, encourage and preserve our unique neighborhoods.
  • Champion parks, trails, and recreation programs.
  • Support and encourage business retention and expansion, to provide jobs and a secure tax base.
  • Balance future development so that the character of our city and neighborhoods remain.
  • Ensure TCAAP development minimizes financial risk while utilizing environmentally sound practices.
  • Continue to effectively manage city resources.
  • Continue collaborative and efficient relationships with neighboring cities and other governmental units.
  • Maintain responsive and cost effective Police and Fire.
  • Maintain the quality of life in our city.
